I am excited to begin the 2014-2015 school year. My teaching career began 16 years ago at St. Luke in Columbus, GA in a classroom of 4 year olds. This led me to begin working for the Phenix City School System as a substitute teacher at PCIS. I enjoyed working with children and decided to return to school in order to become an educator and fulfill my lifelong dream. I enrolled at CVCC and obtained my Associates Degree. I continued my education at Troy University where I graduated and received my Bachelors Degree Magna Cum Laude in Elementary Education. I have enjoyed working with students in Kindergarten, second grade, sixth grade, seventh grade and fifth grade. This is my fifth year at Ridgecrest and I absolutely love being a part of such a wonderful faculty. As a teacher and a parent I realize the importance of being aware of a child's educational progress and I look forward to working with each of you. I am married, with five children and nine grandchildren. I love the outdoors and enjoy gardening, rafting, camping, and the beach. I have three pets: Bailey, a fourteen year old cocker spaniel; Gizmo, a three year old pomehuahua (long hair chihuahua/pomeranian;and an angora rabbit, BunBun.
